Villas Playa del Carmen Vacation Rental Policies

  • In order to make a vacation rental reservation, we require 50% of the total rental amount as a reservation deposit, plus security deposit according with each property.
  • Guests renting villas that include the Playacar Reef Club VIP Card will need to pay and additional $250.00 USD security deposit. If this card is lost, the full security deposit will be lost.
  • In order to reconfirm a vacation rental reservation, we require the balance 60 days prior to the arrival date. Except for Christmas and New Year’s week when the balance must be paid 90 days prior to the arrival date.
  • Security deposits are returned within 15 days after departure. Villas Playa del Carmen keeps 10% as a handling fee.
  • Cancellations and refunds for low and high season vacation rental reservations:
    • A full refund is given if cancellation notices is given 60 days minimum prior arrival. Less $250.00 processing fee.
    • A 40% refund of deposit is given between 59 to 32 days prior to arrival.
    • There is no refund if cancellation is made less than 31 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellations and refunds for Christmas and New Year’s vacation rental reservations:
    • A full refund is given if cancellation notices is given 90 days minimum prior arrival. Less $250.00 processing fee.
    • A 25% refund of deposit is given between 89 to 62 days prior to arrival.
    • There is no refund if cancellation is made less than 61 days prior to arrival.

Deposits can be made by:

  • Wire transfer -Inquire with your bank regarding transfer fee.
  • Credit Card (5% service charge)    – Visa, Mastercard.
  • Bank Deposit US and Mexico -For cash deposits to banks in Mexico, add 2% per Mexican law.
  • Cash.

Late check-out

It is not possible to guarantee a late check-out, but please request it the day before you leave so we can check availability. Cost of late check out: until 5pm $50 USD; after 5pm one night charge.
